So I am running BES 5.0.2 MR2. I am having issues with the BES Monitoring service as I can't login to the webpage. So that got me to thinking, do I even need the monitoring service. Our company has been using blackberrys for years and we have never used the monitoring service before. So here are my questions:

Is it safe for me to uninstall the service?

How many of you use the monitoring service?

Some of the errors will wake you up many nights for nothing making you wish you never tried it

I turned off the monitoring services in our test environment and the error in my BAS log went away. I am going to turn it off in our prod environment now. Since we don't use it, we don't need it running.

So my question is if I set these services to disabled. will that be suffcient? Really don't feel like rerunning the setup to unselect BMS.
