Default 7290 Ringtone problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user with a new 7290.

They have a bunch of ringtones on their PC (downloaded & paid for), that were from their previous phone set. I am having a heck of a time getting them to work on the 7290.

1. Can anyone confirm what types of ringtones (mp3, mid....etc) are supported by the 7290. I have been unable to find this info.

2. How can I move the files from the PC. I tried emailing a MID file, then saving the attachment, but that didn't make the ringtone available. The help only describes how to download new files.

Any advice would be appreciated

For the 7290 Midi, Monophone to be exact

You can't, you'll need to upload them (Midi) to a site you can browse to on the BB and download them to the 7290 or if the site they were downloaded from offers that option browse to that site and download.

Any advice would be appreciated

What??!!
Is that all pretty standard for Blackberry, or is the 7290 just a crappy low end unit?

You are saying I can upload the exisiting files to a site ( for free somewhere ??). I can do this without having to repurchase them.

Hang on .. dosen't matter I guess. Everything the user has is MP3, which I guess won't work with this unit

Thanks for your help
