What I'm attempting to do is develop a filter that will intercept More/More All requests from the BB client and re-direct that request to my own dll for processing.
My understanding is that BES relies on a TCP connection on port 3101 for communications. BES doesn't seem to install anything in IIS, so ISAPI filter is out.
Just started researching it, so happy to hear any advice and suggestions.
if you want to redirect HTTP requests from BB device implement a proxy server to handle all requests through it.
Communication on port 3101 is encrypted. BES establishes a permanent bidirectional TCP connection to RIM's server farm and holds it. On this connection all data between the BES and the BB devices is exchanged.

Is the More/More All request from the BB mail client an HTTP request? I'm unclear what mechanism it uses. If it is, that would work well.
More/ More all is the command for the BES. The BES gets the data from the Mail Server so if you want to catch or sniff it you have to hook in this connection.
