Greetings all...

Has anyone ever considered any possible business opportunities, specific to BlackBerry? I was just wondering how something like this would fair in a mall kiosk environment. I imagine a business that can provide devices (ready to be activated by a carrier), accessories, knowledge and services. It doesn't seem that the carriers themselves (at least in my area) are too knowledable of the BlackBerry products.
Thoughts?

I think it could work as a Business to Business solution. Not really a retail / mall enviroment.

The only problem is cost. You would have to sell the devices at full retail without subsidies from the carriers.

I think someone would just setup a store like all the other cell phone retailers and be a reseller with the same discounts that they get. It'd just be limited to Blackberry and not other phone models. Just seems to be way too limited an offering. Haven't heard anything about that one store in Michigan that did just that.

Seems like a lot of time would be spent educating consumers. Considering that, there would have to be a pretty good margin per sale to make it worthwhile IMO.

Wondering if that might be the angle...A mall kiosk where you can troubleshoot, configure, pimp out, download apps. We know from this board that there are plenty of things that people do to their BBs that are beyond tech support. Some people might be willing to pay for those services.

If you have money to invest in a BB-centric business, PM me for ideas about a software-related product - the application part of which is the trivial part - there's a considerable back end - but it would make you a very central player in the BlackBerry universe.

(The head honcho at Handango wouldn't even do me the courtesy of returning my call, but other online sellers with a strong back office are also welcome to inquire).

You could take a look at 5linx as they cater to the mobile phone world and they do promote the blackberry as well.
