Default Address Book

Please Login to Remove!

So I just got the Curve yesterday and am having an issue with my address book. It seems that I only have about half of my contacts in my address book. It goes from A-K and then there are no other contacts after the letter K. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Details...? How did you transfer the Address Book over from the previous device, or what. My ESP is not kicked in yet this morning.

I just transfered my SIM card from my crappy shine to the Curve. Never ran into this issue before with transfering SIM cards. Always had the contacts transfer over smoothly. This is a different story though.

it should have prompted you to transfer all the contacts over from the SIM as soon as you turned it on.

If it did and you agreed then it must have errored out on one of the contacts. The blackberry has problems with some special characters in the address book. I would say edit your contacts from the SHINE and make sure they are all very basic. (i.e. name, phone, address in basic text.

Well just by messing around with it I found the solution. Apparently it didn't copy everything into the address book so I had to go to the blackberry button>SIM Phone Book and then select copy to address book.

Okay so instead of creating a new thread I have a question about wallpapers. How do you get the wallpaper to be your entire screen instead of just behind the icons?

The wallpaper can't go in front of the icons -- you wouldn't be able to see the icons then.
Are you perhaps asking about how to "fill screen" with a picture?

You question simply answered without any more detail provided by you...

Find the picture you wish to be the wallpaper, download it to the BB or email it to yourself.

Open that image and click Menu > Set as Wallpaper.

If you want to fill the screen, including the are covered by the homescreen bar at the top of many themes, you will need a different theme. Most themes have an area at the top of reserved for alerts, time, notifications, etc., which are not covered by wallpaper.

Look in our Media Section here for various themes.

Alright, quick follow up question to this. I went to crackberry.com to look for a theme but they all cost at least some amount of money. Is there somewhere to get free themes or will I have to end up paying for one?

NO one is boiling over. You asked a question and I answered. The work "THIS" is easier to type than "blackberryforums.com".

Alright, so anyways, I downloaded a theme as a zip file on my blackberry. I went to themes in options but I don't see it there. Do you know where this file would be on my phone?

Zip files are meant for the PC, and contain ALX/COD files... to be installed via Desktop Manager.

Details here: How to Add Themes - BlackBerryFAQ

I would recommend using OTA Over The Air installs where possible.. usually the link will state "OTA LINK" and you get a *.JAD file that automatically goes into the install...
