Hello.

I need some basic instructions on installing an application on BlackBerry.

As an example...I have been trying to get access to KABlog to post Blog entries from the BB web browser.

I see that there is a JAD file and a JAR file on the KABlog site, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

1) I tried to open the JAD file on the BB browser, it asked me if I wanted to download the application, I said yes, but it said "Invalid JAR file".

2) I downloaded the JAD and JAR files onto my PC in the hopes of using the Application Loader, but this only seems to accept ALX or ALI files.

i've been having the same issues lately, keep on getting the invalid jar file.

I don't know what kind of phone you have or what OS is on the phone so I can't really help you.

this may or may not work. who knows. test it out and see. if it doesnt, search for 'rapc' and there will be a HOWTO thread by Mark Rejhon for converting jar/jad to cod. i used JDE 4.1, so you may have to use JDE 4.0.2 for it to work. use javaloader (search) to load the cod to your handheld.

as for me, im using a 7100t with the latest software offered by t-mobile.
i tried doing the rapc conversion, but i keep on getting a error file

i used this command:

rapc import="c:\Program Files\Research in Motion\Blackberry JDE 4.1\lib\net_rim_api.jar" codename=virca -midlet jad=Virca.jad Virca.jar
