It's getting close to the 28th... I will have to wait until next year, when I qualify for a replacement

That is what I was expecting for pricing. I'm only in the first year of my three year and expressed that I was interested in the Storm. A Customer Service call yesterday afternoon advised me to wait till the Storm is actually released and call back to see what kind of discount they might be able to give me based on my Loyalty (1991) and 3 cell's on my account. In the past Telus has been able to offer specials based on a person's Loyalty. We'll see....

Has anyone done the research on Telus data plans? They appear to beat Bell and Rogers hands down so I'm guessing there must be a catch.

No catch at all. They have much better plans. As for customer service i found that once you show your loyalty by staying with them they will take care of you VERY well! I would never switch in a million years. I had paid my curve outright and still into my contract so I simply asked if they can help me out by applying airtime credits or something.....they certainly did.

Default Ugh

Well, this being the 25th, I dunno how accurate the information I got was. Directly from Telus too, ugh.

Things getting delayed due to some software issues? Anyone got any new information?

Bell and Telus are supposedly releasing it on the same day, Bell employees aren't even getting training on the Storm until Dec 1, and demo units are supposed to start hitting stores shorly after that.

I keep hearing Dec 5 as a release date.

I believe the latest Bell data plans match Telus and may even be a few bucks cheaper.

What I couldn't see was the price for text messaging. Given that Telus allows unlimited texts for the 45 plan, maybe the $5 saving isn't worth while.
