Angry Storm can´t set up PPTP-Connection

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

there seems to be a softwareproblem in the BB Storm OS. I can´t establish a PPTP-Connection to our corporate network. The guys from t-mobile assured me that it´s NOT a carrier thing.

So RIM / Blackberry: Will this problem be fixed with the next software-update?? Does RIM know about the problem?

From the sounds of it you are running an unlocked phone on a carrier network that doesn't currently support the Storm. You are now pointing a finger RIM saying there is a problem with their software. RIM is under no obligation to make sure the Storm works on a TMobile network.

Lightbulb Agree With Thom

The Storm is specifically designed to interface ith corporate networks using BES. Are you running an unlocked phone? Where are you located? Europe? 73

Unhappy

Hello Thom, hello Hudres,

thanks for your answers. As far as I understand your questions, they are good questions - but:

1.) I am running the storm in a corporate network and we are using a BES-environment.
2.) I am locateted in Germany
3.) The storm i bought with vodaphone. I payed the full price and i didn´t have you use any software to unlock it.
4.) To make things a little clearer
- Corporate mail works perfect
- Surfing in the internet with the storm as a modem works perfect
- Everything else works fine

5.) T-Mobile said the storm is pretty similar to the bold. So there isn´t much of a difference t-mobile informed me. The guys I talked to were the t-mobile blackberry Support-Team (not some crappy 1st level support)

I really like the storm but as far as i understand it, it´s not able to support pptp / vpn-tunnels.

If I am wrong- great ! Just tell me how it can work.

But so far it is a Storm-Os bug to me.

Thanks

Ekkehard
