Default Are they fixed now?

Got my Storm about a week ago and like the rest of Storm users the side and bottom screen press is more difficult than the rest of the screen...

Ordered Jr a Storm for xmas and it came today. When mine arrived it had the old OS installed. His came today and it has .75 installed. I know ,75 did not fix the issue...

His new Storm that came today is far easier to type on and all the issues I am having with my screen are solved on his... Can it be they corrected the problem and the new devices are shipping with this fix?

Take your thumb and lightly slide it to the bottom of the screen until the icon you wish to activate lights up. When it does, press inward.

I was facing this issue often after typing in my password. After using the above method a couple times it became increasingly easier. The issue isn't sensitivity, its your big thumb.

Wirelessly posted (BB 850)

You will just have to trust me on this. Typing on his that came today is night and day different!

Hey Kris I have had hands on now with about 15 Storms since launch. The best solution to your problem I hate to say is exchange. Some devices did not come off the assembly line very well.

Thanks Troy... I called them today after seeing the difference of typing on his and they are sending me a replacement out!

Update:

Got the replacement today and it is night and day better than the 1st one I had. I can only assume at this point that they have fixed the issues and are now shipping new and improved devices....

The corner pressing is a device flaw that I do not think an OS update can fix. If someone has this issue they should swap devices.

Glad it is fixed for you!

I agree Troy.... An OS will not fix the issue.... Jr Storm types like a champ and the one I got today types like a champ... I wonder if they found and fixed the flaw?

The 1st one I got was bad! The last 2 (Jr's and my replacement) are awesome!!!
