Question Using Storm on VZW and at&t

Please Login to Remove!

If I get an unlocked Storm, can I put my at&t sim in it and use my VZW line and my at&t line on the same phone?

Nope. Dont believe that is possible. That would require running two set of services books at the same time.

Yes and No

Yes, you can have both services on the same phone.
No, not both services at the same time (like dual NAM in the old days)

You have 2 choices:
1. On options>Mobile Network--Network Technology; you have to choose either
1XEV /GSM/UMTS/Global
2. If you set on Global, it will default to the carrier that was used prior to the change
and when there is no coverage from that carrier, it will go to your next one.

I have mine set with ATT during business hours and Verizon for other times.

Interesting. Do you have to resend service books every time you switch?

I would love to be able to use both at once. I wonder if there is a genius programmer out there that could make this happen.

No you dont have to do anything at all, I switched between both of them all the times just in case I have a text message on the othe line. It takes about 2 second between the switch. Jusyt go to options and Mobile Network.

Ok, let's talk about battery drain and other things.
I have a habit of charging my phone whenever I am in the car or at the office just scared of running out of juice and this is probably one of my worst phone as far as the battery is concerned.
The second issue is lagging!
I have a habit of shutting down the phone at night and power it back on in the morning and typically by around 2 or 3 pm my phone is acting up and start lagging when I swithched from Video, pictures & Music and I always close all application (not running in the background).
I noticed the lagging when trying to make/answer calls and or go the phone book, there is always a delay on just about everything.
It is unlike my Pearl,Curve and even the BOLD. I need the large display since I am over 50. Talk to RIM today and they suggest that I turn on the debug mode. Any Ideas?, or I just have a bad unit or this is the nature of Storm.
