Outlook Syncing and general connectivity to my DM worked fine.

Then I installed an 8GB microSD card... and now my Syncing is spotty at best.

I get the question, "Would you like to treat the Blackberry as a mass storage device" (I paraphrase) each time I plug in, and whether I say yes or no, I still have problems.

My Device Manager doesn't seem to detect my Blackberry on USB at all... but I am communicating and transferring files thru standard My Computer.
And sometimes, even when the Device Manager sees my device, my Desktop Manager doesn't connect to it properly.


It works sometimes, but mostly not.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the forums!

On your BlackBerry, go to Options>Media Card, and look at the Mass Storage Support field. If it is "On", change the setting to "Off". This may help.
