I just set up my verizon.net email address on the storm, everything went fine but when it put the icon on there it used a yahoo mail icon...anyone had that same issue?

Never had that issue. Have you tried the usual battery pull.

Maybe I will try that towards the end of the day...I hate doing battery pulls in the middle of the day cause the storm takes so long to boot up.

Go to Email set up and set up your Yahoo email account. Check if the verizon email account was accidentally hidden or put in a different folder besides your "Home Screen".

Just a bit of advice on using the carrier supplied email address,. I never recommend to anyone to use it.

First, it opens you up to getting tons of SPAM if the address gets out and is harvested. It is totally unfiltered.

Second, the only way to view mail on that account is on the bB itself. No webmail option. So in case of a BB or data outage as we see from time to time, you are out of luck until the network is back up and operational. Plus you stand the chance of losing that one important email.

And last, you cannot take that address with you when and if you change carriers. Once the BIS account is canceled, that address is gone forever.
