Default KB15003 - Enterprise Only Message Folder - Help!

Please Login to Remove!

I found out about this, and was trying to enable it on my BES, but am running into a problem. I'm following the instructions exactly as outlined in the KB:
1- I downloaded the zip file, and extracted it to C:\TEMP on the BES.
2- I then went to the command prompt, changed the directory to C:\TEMP and then
3. typed in the command:
bbdbupdate -db BESMgmt -input EnableBESOnlyMessageApplication.sql

BESMgmt is the name of my database.

After I hit enter, I get the messages saying that it's connected to the local database, then it lists the database name, and then after 17 seconds I get a message "Failed to open database connection"

What am I doing wrong? Anyone able to point me in the right direction? I'd like to get this setup for my users. Also, how can I change the new folder's name? I saw this: "The service book name is specified in the Message service display name field, under the Advanced tab of the Email Settings tool in BlackBerry Desktop Manager."
I don't have BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed on my BES. Do I need to? Can't access this through the Blackberry Manager? Thanks in advance for your replies.

I am running BES 4.1 SP6

No, don't install BlackBerry Desktop Manager on BES - it won't "fix" this for you.

I'll have a play and see whether this is configurable via Device and/or BB Manager. However, when configured via Desktop Manager it uses the Enterprise Mail Settings as per that user, so I cannot see how installing DM on a BES (with no "configured" user on BES per se) would work. AFAIK this is a user-by-user change, it cannot even be amended via Web Desktop Manager

OK...Got it to work! Called Blackberry Technical Support, and they had me do some different steps. Might be helpful for others, so here it is:
1. Get into the Command Prompt
2. type in "osql -E"
3. you'll get a "1>" type in "use besmgmt" or specify your database name
4. you'll get a "2>" type in "go" and hit enter
5. UPDATE ServerConfig SET BESOnlyMessages = 1 WHERE BESOnlyMessages = 0 and servicename = "Server_Name"
6. Type in "go" and hit enter.

You need to stop and restart the BB services to get this to work after you run the command. The SQL server must be on the same box as your BES. To change the name of the new folder you have to set it through Desktop Manager for each user That's the only pain. Hope this helps someone else...
