Default DesktopMgr.exe-Application Error

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, i've had my Storm for about two weeks and love it. For the past week i've been synching with my pc at work, using BIS not on BES, and it's been ok... at least until yesterday. Now when it tries to synch it goes through reading the device and my outlook portions and then crashes with the "DesktopMgr.exe-Application Error" message. Any thoughts? BB Desktop Manager is 4.7.0.32.

Sounds like you need to un-install then re-install Desktop Manager. I've had issues before. If you still have problems, un-install again then download the software from RIM rather than installing it from disk.

appreciate the response...
tried the install \ uninstall a few times including the Desktop manager downloaded from RIM (both version with and without Media Manager) and still no luck. I've read in other google searches that deleting the Intellisync folder works so i tried it. It worked but only for that initial setup. Any subsequent synch up fails.
any other thoughts?

This is a stab in the dark but have you tried another usb port or are you using bluetooth ? It sounds like you are loosing connection while it's syncing .
