Default Wifi Applications

Please Login to Remove!

Ciao,

I got new BB Bold 9000 and I using it as cellular phone without internet access through BIS nor BES. I am able to connect to internet through my home wifi router.
Here I have doubt I can connect to internet, I can download whatever application (free one), I can browse any pages but when I would like to use GOOGLE MAPs or some INSTANT MESSENGERS then all application telling me that could not find internet connection. Is there any additional set-up needed or do I need something special?

Sorry, I am still very new user

Thanks

I don't think google maps works with wifi. I think it requires a data plan. I know that BB maps only works with a data plan.

Not sure about the IM programs.

No IM without a data plan either.

Check this out from the FAQs.

Just call your cell provider and tell them you want to add it.
