What kinda of speed difference is there between the two? Thanks

I think it's a noticeable difference, but wifi is limited in range. If you have a strong connection for both, wifi should win out.

I have Wi-Fi on my BB and my friend has 3G. Browsing the web I noticed that 3G was faster, but Wi-Fi is more convenient for me. T-Mobile has poor service near my house and Wi-Fi is the only thing that keeps me connected.

This is somewhat impossible to accurately answer.
Without knowing what the connection is between the WiFi router and the Internet, then it's impossible to determine whether it's faster or slower than your 3G connection.

For example, if there's a T3 line behind the WiFi router, then WiFi should likely be much faster than 3G.
But, if there's only a 384kbps DSL line behind the WiFi router, then 3G is likely going to be faster.

You need to know what the connection speed is between the WiFi router and the Internet.

Well I had the bb curve with tmobile and wifi was much faster than edge and now I have the bb bold with att with 3G and wifi is still faster. Wi-fi for the win
