Default Complete OS Rebuild - Old Work BB

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys,

I am a complete newcomer to BBs. Basically I cannot get my BB to hook up to my work email account via the BIS.

Context: My BB is an 8700v. I got it from my friend when he got a new BB. He got the 8700v from work. I think they have specially configured it / disabled loads of the features and this is hindering my ability to connect.

What I've Done so far: I have installed the latest version of the OS I could find from blackberry.com. I have installed the following:
v4.5.0.55
Platform 2.7.0.68

However, I cannot remove his work applications as they are not displayed in the Applications list and still cannot connect.

My Question: How can I completely format the BB and install the latest version of the Operating System thus giving me the base build where absolutely no limitations should be in effect?

Thank you all very much in advance.

Kind Regards,
Dave

It worked an absolute treat!
Thanks

p.s. For anyone else who needs it, the JL_Cmnder app puts a shortcut icon on your my docs or desktop which you need to use to access it. Don't keep on trying to install it.
