Default StormLock vs TalkLock

Please Login to Remove!

I don't have any apps that lock my screen during calls. I definitely want one. I don't know which one is better. Both of them are not free. SL is $2.95, while TL is $2.99. Which one is better, and why? For most of us it shouldn't be a problem to buy both of them, but why did you choose SL, and why did you choose TL?

I have TalkLock on my phone (granted it is the free version prior to the App world going live). I do not like the fact that when on a call it locks the screen with a wallpaper image which prevents you from seeing all the status indicators on your phone (like signal strength, battery indicator, call timer, etc). The only thing you can see is the number you are talking to.

Unless they changed that with the new version that they now charge for I personally wouldn't pay for it. Haven't used StormLock but based on the screen shots on the App World it looks like it shows you the standard screen with call info and phone status

I understand that it shows a wallpaper image, but... when you talk on a phone, most of the time you hold it to your ear. Signal strength? Well, if you hear your interlocutor then it's OK. If you ran out of battery, your Storm will beep until it shuts down. The problem is with the call timer, and this is a real hindrance for TalkLock. Seems a good enough reason to go for the StormLock, but I am still waiting for more opinions. I should have started a poll :P

Man I've searched for ScreenLock everywhere. I cannot find it, not even on google. If you can type a "l i n k" then it would be great.

But if it were up to you, then what would you choose? TalkLock or StormLock?

WoW! Great app! I've used both stormlock and talklock and by far IMPO the screenlock app is much simpler and better to use! Thanks Again!!!!

So nobody cares about StormLock or TalkLock. A free app is better than paid apps. If you unlock the screen while in a call, can you lock it back using ScreenLock?

I have stormlock. Its ok. Unfortunately where I (or linked to) tried the iBerry Slider "theme" StormLock does not now function properly. When I hit the lock button the lock screen comes on. Then it fades. Then stormlock wakes it up again and then it fades again .... Also, unlike the claims in the marketing the "launch stormslider on lock key" is plain not true. What it means is : launch stormslider after dim after the normal lock process.

My blackberry seems a bit like frankensteins monster now - different themes (despite being removed) seemed to have left dross aruond that compete for the phone and for locking/unlock priorities and display real estate.
