Default Ample memory, but Curve still with memory error messages and running slow

Please Login to Remove!

This probably has been covered many times over. My Curve has been running very slow lately. It's been acting as if it is low on memory as it runs smoothly just after restart but after about 30 minutes of use it runs as if it is low on memory and I often get the java/memory error messages. However when I check my file free I have 26 MB free. Is there something else that I can try aside from restarting every 30 mins? Please link/point me to the right direction to address this problem.

Welcome to the forums.

What applications do you have running in the background? You can find them by pressing Alt + escape (back key).

I would say Google Maps is the culprit. I would close the apps when you're not using them. Menu Key > Close/Exit.

Having too many apps open will cause it to run sluggish.

General rule of thumb.. Just leave running what you need. Not everything.

Make sure you hit the menu key and choose close/exit instead of just using the back key.

Should make it better for you.

Don't forget to do the battery pull while the phone is on to clear out all the cobwebs.
