Quite honestly, if you have to ask the above, I would advise you to be VERY VERY cautious about what cod files you remove from the Java folder.

That should do it.
Then Re-run loader.exe.

Hey Iraed74, maybe your cow's saliva is messing with the components ![Smiley](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) . Just kidding. Slow rendering could mean heavy load on the servers.

downloaded yesterday the new update and I am pretty happy, everythings seems to be working and similar to the previous built 266. The thumbnail in the multimedia is a bit slower as some reported, but not too painful or annoying, it is noticable though..however, I gained the ability to review all my multimedia files on the SD card via "All Songs" or "All Videos" where in the past the SD data wouldn't come up on the default view but only through "Explorer."
I also feel that the media player for watching videos is extremely sharp...it gets better with every update...to a point, amazing...wifi has been great with 266 and this latest built seems to be very stable too..no issue.
The update process was very smooth..either the process is getting better/easier or maybe I got it down packed to a point I can do it blindly... ![Smile](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) ...happy upgrading all!

I have to concur with rontiu about the new.282 upgrade. The only thing I have different is that my thumbnails are rendered very quickly no significant delay on my device.

Still researching
Hi all;
Still doing some reading here to see if I apply this update to mine or not. Did quite a few on my old Pearl.
Benefits of moving from .167 to .282?

I'm hoping this .282 will be the last OS upgrade before the 5.0 series comes out. If not, I'll just wait on 5.0.

Benifits... No more 3g... this OS will give you the ability to turn off 3g.
Saves battery like nuts.
I have been on .282 for 2 days now and it rocks, no errors.

I seem to have lost the ability to put in the APN address with this upgrade (went from .162)
Options > Advanced > TCP
has turned into
Options > Advanced > TCP/IP
In this screen, it used to allow you to put in the APN address (internet.com for Rogers).
After upgrading, I have lost the ability to use jmirc (Tunnel refused), which is usually a symptom of the APN being wrong.
The new screen in .282 no longer contains a field to enter this address, only "APN Settings Enabled", and "APN Authentication Enabled"
Anyone know where I can enter the internet.com address now?

Guess it was not a good idea to upgrade while roaming. Now I am having issues with my wi-fi.
- It shows as ON but it will only connect when I open the browser.
- Emails are not coming in automatically
- BB Messenger not sending or receiving
If I delete and send all service books again will this help?

Here's what my screen looks like under Advanced Options > TCP/IP (on AT&T with .282):
