What version are you using? There's no need to use another app to look up the location ID's. The latest version has a built in lookup feature. Make sure you don't have city name and location ID info mixed up.

I had bbweather app for a while and it was pretty cool. I am looking for some that will update according to my gps location. I purchased the weather.com app but it was come compatibile to the storm and have been waiting for a while until they get the app up and running. If bbweather ran in conjunction with you gps, then it's legit.

You might look into Berryweather - the latest release has this capability.

Yes, two different apps. BerryWeather is nice but its $10. BBWeather is not quite as fancy as BerryWeather but it does almost the same thing and is free. Tateu has done a very nice job making BBWeather one of the greatest free apps out there.

Several differences. BBWeather is the greatest of the "free" weather apps for the Blackberry and has long been a staple for Blackberries. The original author discontinued support for it a couple of years ago and when the weather provider changed their feed configuration, it broke. Tateau - a contributer here - modified the code and got it working again (and very recently had to do it again after another recent change) and has also enhanced the original application.

Berryweather is a commercial app - you pay for the app but no monthly charges for the service. It is actively developed, and most recently updated to incorporate radar maps which are customizable and the ability to access weather advisories for each location.

Each of us will probably have our own opinions as to what is the best Blackberry weather app, but it's my opinion that BBWeather is the best of the free apps and Berryweather is the best of the commercial ones. Personally I use Berryweather because the interface looked better on my Pearl and now looks better on my 8900, and I love the radar map integration it has.

Berryweather is available for a free 7 day trial - you might want to try both and see which one you like best.

BBWeather is now on 0.88! That's a lot of upgrades in the past week. I'd like to know what the changes are, so I can really appreciate the improvements.. Changelog, tateu? I can't find one on your website!

Edit: nvm, just poked around your forums and found the answer.

MobiHand.com. If you go there and look for BerryWeather... click the TRIAL link. You will get prompted for your email address. If you enter it, you will get a discount code and link to purchase the app within the next 4 days at a 15% discount... then proceed to download the app and test it. If you decide to buy, be sure to go back to the email the send you and use that link to save 15%.

Now, re: BBWeather... Tateu has done an excellent job of keeping it running... the enhancements that he has added are simply bonus. Thanks, Tateu... great work (once again!).

Tateu et al. Thanks for the updates. I noticed that now on both my BB and my wifes, the forecast days only go out 5 days although i have it set to 10 days. Can someone confirm this behavior?

It's a new limitation of the weather data provider. Tateu stated this information when he released the fix.

After 5 days, forecasting becomes little more than guesswork. The forecasting models rely on the basic parameter, "if things stay the same", which is almost NEVER the case once you go out 5 days or more.

I love BB Weather because it's fast, efficient, and free. Small footprint too, which saves precious memory. Thanks again Tateu!

I understand. But weather.com is now back to showing 10-day forecasts. Would like to get on the app. Helps when planning long trips.
