Default Any way to end an individual application?

Please Login to Remove!

Occasionally have an application (usually Yahoo Go, but not always) which will freeze up, but the red button will still go back to home screen. Any way to end the troublesome program without undergoing a restart/reboot (Similar to task manager in Windows)?

Device is an 8120 with pretty recent OS, not sure which one, but 4.5.???

Thanks,

Generally to close an individual app, press the menu key while in the program and select exit or close. Every app is different though -- sometimes exit leaves the program but keeps it running; while close closes the program.

You can try to hit alt esc and click on app again and try to close. Otherwise you seem to know what to do.

Appreciate the quick replies. Usually when something freezes it is really frozen and I can't get to the menu or it is running soooo slow I don't feel like waiting. Have also done the alt-esc to switch apps, but coming back to the troubles app rarely frees it up so I just end doing a battery pull. Any other thoughts for a "BB Task Manager"?

Just make sure you don't have too many apps running. I know that some apps can be a real system resource hog. When I run instango on my device its really slow to start up though it works fine afterwards. This might be the case with Yahoo as well thoug I've never used it. Having additional programs up and running may exacerbate the issue. Other than that can't think of any other fixes.
