I currently have a blackberry bold and everything has been fine up until last night. Two of the people that I am texting are recieving my responses from like 2 text messages ago its as if every three texts sends the first one. Also Ive been getting some of their messages hours late and even some the next morning. I already tried calling AT&T all they did was have me reset the phone like 20 times and then said have a nice night so there absolutely no help. Everyone else im texting is recieving my messages just fine does anyone know what I can do to resolve this issue?
Ive had the same problem a few times on my Iphone but the longest it ever lasted was about 2 hours this has been over 12
You did not say but are your friends also having problems with other people?. If so it may be them. Are you all on the same carrier? Maybe there is inter carrier delay.
Ive tried taking out the battery and restarting the phone numerous times and that hasnt seemed to fix the problem also I was thinking that it could be my friends phones but it dosent seem very likely that both of theirs would just all of a sudden start doing this at the same time when just minutes before everything was just fine.
Just took the phone into AT&T and they apparently dont know anything about whats happening with it
Sounds more like a network issue with AT&T and other carriers to me. The other people's carriers may have recently changed/updated their spam filters and some of your messages may have been deleted at the carrier level, never making it to the delivery stage.
Thanks guys I just waited it out and by the next night it was starting to work again but now im just not recieving texts what so ever im not too sure whats up with this but im about to just go back to the iphone :/ kind of sucks considering I really like the bold alot better but if it cant even recieve texts no use in having it
I've had issues like that several times on AT&T on different phones. It's a network issue, nothing to do with the phone. Going to an AT&T store won't help you any since they basically wouldn't have a clue, they're just sales reps. You should contact AT&T tech support, someone who actually knows what they're doing, not just a random CSR, although there may not be much that can be done.
