Default How to delete an e-mail account

Please Login to Remove!

Hello...

This question might seem easy, but maybe it's not.

I had 2 blackberries 8700, one for my wife and the other for me. My wife's BB had configured some e-mail accounts. Later, her BB service was disabled, of course, keeping her e-mail accounts configured in the device.

On the other hand, my BB had my own e-mail accounts with BB service enabled.

Last week, my BB was stolen so that I purchased a new SIM card and inserted it in my wife's BB.

The problem occures with e-mail accounts. My wife's email accounts still are there so I tried to delete them, but when I went to e-mail configuration I was allowed only to add new accounts, not delete existing ones. I could add my accounts, but I couldn't delete my wife's accounts.

I tried with Desktop Manager but it only allowed me to delete all contacts.

How can I do it then?

thanks
Jaime

That's pretty interesting.

Take a look here:

And welcome to the forums.

Hi

Since your wife's account is not valid, you won't be able to log on to her web account, where you are supposed to change the mail configuration.

I think, only way to get rid of those mail ids are - wipe out your wife's handheld to factory condition and then from your own web account send the service book.

Where are you doing all this from? The BB itself? The carrier's BIS site?
