Default is it dying?

Please Login to Remove!

hello,

for the last week, my bb has been showing signs of a slow and disfunctional death. and here's what's happening :
(1) slow reaction - back in the days, you could click 4 different clicks, and just know that the device will keep up. now, screen delays by 1-2 sec.
(2) battery draining fast - sometimes it just jumps from 2 bars of battery to "battery too low for radio use" in a moment.

of course i've tried battery pull. two question i have :
(1) is there a way to like format the device, but without too much hustle?
(2) how do i know that i don't have any applications running in the background? is there a screen for that? (like "application that still run..")

thanks, and have a very good day

1 - BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ has information on how to wipe out and reload the operating system on your BlackBerry. Look at the top (Sticky Threads) of the 9000 forum for the latest released version of the OS.

2 - press the menu key twice and select "Switch Applications" and it will show you what is running.

You might need a new battery. Try changing it to see if thats the problem.

Does the battery effect the device's speed?
