Default Google Maps

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, BBmaps works great, gps is fully functional for me on my 8530... I load google maps, and it doesnt want to use the gps, only cellular triangulation... I removed bbmaps, thinking it may be conflicting, but still only triangulation with google... also, I checked permissions and allowed all for googlemaps... It just doesn't want to use the satellites...
I know this feature is 'locked' to specific software from some of the cell providers in the US... Im in Canada on Bell... store folks say gps is not locked to a specific software usage....
So, I reloaded BBmaps, and it works... just the maps arent as good as google...
any thoughts?

Have you tryied reinstalling google maps?
Check in google maps settings if the prefered location method is set to GPS.

When at my house or girlfriends house stationary, it doesn't pin point my exact locations. But when I'm driving, it does. Try going somewhere to see if it works better? I don't know, just a thought, im no guru at this.

I remember reading this from somewhere:
In Google Maps select Menu -> Help, scroll down to Settings, Check to see whether Disable My Location is selected which means that Enable My Location is enabled. Try this.
