Default ATT Unlock Code 17 Digits?

Please Login to Remove!

I spoke with ATT Customer Support yesterday, and was able to have them send me an unlock code for my 9000. However, when I enter the code, it's 17 digits, not the 16 digit maximum that the phone will accept. As I try to enter the last digit, I get a "Field Full" error.

I haven't tried hitting enter with only the first 16 digits yet, because I don't want to eat up my 10 tries.

Through google, I've seen a few other posts report this same issue, where ATT gives codes that are too long, but have never seen a resolution posted. Anyone have any ideas?

I've already emailed customer support, but who knows how long they will wait before responding. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

I actually got a hold of a CSR that was pretty good today, and it turns out the ATT rep who typed in the code entered it incorrectly. Phone unlocked without a problem with the correct code.

Thanks for the replies.

So ATT gave you the code for free? I think if that is true then the kid at our local store is making money on the side.
