Exclamation Desktop Manager 4.6 can't detect my bold 9000! HELP!!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

i just got my bold 9000 a few days back and its using the v4.6 OS. So i installed desktop manager (DM) which is version 4.6 as well.

After the install i restarted and then plugged in my usb cable and ran the DM. I changed the connection settings to USB - (pin here) and turned off the bluetooth connection.

However, on my phone screen it just keeps saying 'Connecting to desktop...." forever. On the DM, at the bottom it says Device Connected (PIN): None.

I tried reinstalling, and then reinstalling with older and newer versions and still nothing. I changed my cable and still nothing. I can't get it to work at all. I just dont get it. Under device manager for windows, i checked the Blackberry Smartphone and its enabled and working properly. Everything seems fine yet it can't connect. DM can detect my PIN but can't connect.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Please help. ANYONE!

Thanks.

Go to blackberry.com and download the lateste version 5 of Desktop manager.
It may work better with Windows 7.

Alright, i have installed the latest desktop manager 5.0 and my OS has been updated to 5.0 as well. However, it still doesn't work.

Before this I tried to install DM 4.6 on another laptop and it works perfectly. Instant detection.

But when I try the steps you guys have given me, it still cannot detect anything on my desktop.

Same issue all over again. My friend's laptop is also using Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit so i doubt that the windows version is the problem. I don't get it.

If you installed DM and it doesnt work, how did it update to OS 5 on your device?

Ahh ok.
So can you go through the process of what happens?
Does DM still say "connecting to device..." and Device Connected (PIN): None?

I apologize for the other post. I did not do it intentionally.
