My wife's BB used to show the clock on the external display when it was charging or when you first closed it. Now it shows either the stopwatch or timer (whichever one was the last one used) and I can't figure out how to get the clock back. Even if it's the one currently displayed in the Clock app, it doesn't show up.
How to restore clock to external display?
