Lightbulb Coming over to the BB side...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all,

Came across your forums hoping to join and get some of the BB community out there.

I have decided to upgrade to the BB Torch 9800 due to arrive Tuesday () from a previous HTC Magic Android phone I had fun with it and it had a number of apps which I love but I use it a lot for email/contacts/calendar and have been told by many BB are superior in this option.

I've got 6 days to play and decide if i like the phone or return and go for the Desire HD is what I'm thinking.

Does anyone have some good tips ideas etc for me to really play with in a short period to see if I can deal and fall in love with BB Torch 9800?

Yes, BB's are NOT like other smartphones. A standard/typical internet data plan will not work.

Make sure to get a Blackberry data plan added to your account to utilize everything the BB has to offer.

Welcome the the BB and to BBF.

And the OS block in your profile is for the OS on the BB, not your PC.

i recently upgraded from a bold 9000 to a torch and wondered what to do with the bold .
changing the apn's allowed me to use the phone normally but no email so i installed an app called "tiggit " and now have email on my 9000 . i have connected the phone to my landline a/c ( telecom nz )and use a $1/day up to 10meg data plan . the only thing missing is that the email is not push . but heh thats what the torch is for . the other is that because i am not using bis the data is no longer compressed .
