Not knocking just remembering how coffee was made when I went camping/hunting years ago. The coffee had a lot of body among other things floating in it. If I remember Maxwell House was used and the grind was similar to percolator blend. A large pot was used and about a cup of coffee grinds was put in. Water was obtained from someplace and the the stuff was boiled for a while. It was filtered through an old sock into a variety of cups that we used to consume the stuff. It was not lame. It kept you awake. It gave you a headache.

I actually used my French press for the Turkish coffee I had bought in NYC, and it turned out quite well. Good enough for government work anyway.
