i will compose a new text or reply to another and my phone will lock up on the sms menu highlighted over send right after i push it the most i have left it alone for is 10 min and didnt do anything. it used to do this then i could reset it and it wouldnt do it but now it does it every time i try to send a text please help

Reset? Exactly what do you mean? Did you try a hard reset? With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds.

If it is still happening, the next questions have to do with free memory (files free in options > status) and what and how many apps you have running at the time the device locks up.
