Hi all!

I have a problem with my New bb i live in Sweden
i bought a bb from Canada, wind network, 9700 bold,
i called the my Service provider to active the service but they told me they cant do it cos i didn't bought it from sweden if i want to use the full service for black berry
now i can only use the phone for call and sms and i can use the internet but only with wifi
when i try to use any app like yahoo messenger or msn or gmail i got this msg
this service not enable for this handheld
and for facebook; they i got a msg telling me to change my data plan
and i cant use the bbm or anythinng

could you please help me? there is any way to use bbm? or facebook for my bold?

that is strange, I would have thought you would have just purchased a sim card with data plan and put it in the phone and you would be off. Does not seem right to me that if the phone works they should be able to give you data, unless your phone does not have the freq. needed to run on their data.

Is your device unlocked?

From what I understand Wind (and T-mobile USA) use a different frequency for 3G than the rest of the world. Once unlocked you should be able to get on at a much slower data rate (EDGE).

For the apps you asked about, facebook, Yahoo, gmail, etc. you must have a BB dataplan from your carrier. If they do not support the BB or will not let you on their network, then there is not much you can do. the carrier controls access.

Yes just those and I should buy bb with data plan the don't have support for bb
My phone work perfect I didn't unlocked it it just work
