I didn't use to get a text message when I received a voicemail. However, after my last wireless update I get a text every time I get a voicemail. I don't need a text message to tell me I have a voicemail when there is already a voicemail icon. How do I remove this feature from my curve? Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
I'm not sure how voice mail works with Sprint (I used to have Sprint 6 yrs ago) but with Tmobile receiving text message alerts on your phone for voice mail messages is a voice mailbox function through your provider. I once started receiving SMS messages for some (not all) voice mail, and I fixed it by calling Tmobile customer service, they checked my voice mailbox options and found I had turned on pager notifications for a certain type of numbers leaving voice messages.
This may not be the case with your problem, but it sure sounds similar to mine, and I would check and see if that is the case with you.
