Default New Sprint 9330 Freezing

Hello,

I have a Blackberry 9330 from Sprint that freezes regularly. It seems to do it more often than not with regular usage. I have NotifySync which performs synchronization with my organization for my email, calendar, tasks, and notes.

I try restarting it and that takes forever, so I would like to avoid that.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this problem?

Welcome to the forums.

Rebooting the device fixes a lot of issues. If it is doing it regularly, I would check to see how much memory you have free. Also, what are you doing when it appears to freeze?

What OS do you have on the device OS 5 or 6?

By restarting, do you mean a battery pull?

How much free memory do you have?

What OS is on the BB?

At what point does it freeze? Does do it at that point every time? Does NotifySync cause the freeze?

Thank you for your prompt reply.

The device has about 80% of the space free on it, so I don't think memory is an issue.

As far as what I am doing, the usage is what I would consider normal. Checking email via NotifySync, sending a text message, or even browsing the menu.

The OS version I am using is OS 6 Bundle 1659 (the latest according to the update service).

As far as a restart, yes, the battery pull is correct. Should I do something else.

The OS is 6.0 Bundle 1659 (the latest according to the update service).

The Blackberry freezes at random points. Sometimes, I can be checking an email via NotifySync but other times I can just be sending a text or browsing the menu screen.

And, the amount of memory I am using is 20%. I have about 250MB(?) free.

I am wondering if it might be NotifySync that is causing the problem. Can you use BIS and Google calendar and contact sync?

Are other users having the same problem?

Have you checked with your IT staff, since I assume they are the ones that set up NotifySync for you.
