Bold 9700: Internet browser is not working properly

For the past week, the internet browser on my 9700 Bold has not been working properly. I can go into it fine and can look through my bookmarks, although they now appear in a list on a black background with the words 'Start Page' at the top. Before the problem started, the bookmarks used to be in a list on a white background. Anyway, if I select any of the links or type in a web address, it tries to load the web page for a few seconds then it goes back to the 'Start Page'. So I can't access any web pages at all - very frustrating.
The internet connection is working fine, as I am receiving email as normal and am not having any problems with the facebook or twitter applications.
Has anyone else got the same thing and can anyone help please?
