In Blackberry webwork I want to run application on background in running state.

I have used blackberry.app.requestBackground() api and also do changes in config.xml file like this..

<content src="index.html">
<rim:background src="index.html"/>
</content>

using method maintioned above i am able to close application but it wont be in running state so i want to keep it in ruuning state in background also.....
