Hi everyone,
I have recently re-located to China, and I'm using China Mobile as my carrier. I'm currently on a BIS plan, but I'd like to move to a BES plan to connect to my company's BES server in Canada.
My issue is this: If I want to sign up for a BES plan in China, they will ask me for a local company's BES server to connect to. (I can't simply buy a BES plan and activate it however I want. I assume this is how it works elsewhere.)
Since my company isn't registered anywhere in China, I can't give them my company's information. If I just gave them any company name (e.g. Microsoft, Google), I
believe they would lock me into those company's BES servers in China. (I wouldn't actually do this, I'm just using this as an example.)
My questions:
- Is it possible to buy a BES plan with China Mobile without having to connect to a local BES server?
- If not, is there an easy and inexpensive way to register my company in China so that I can connect to a foreign BES server?
- Finally, if everything else fails, is there a workaround (e.g. BES proxy) that I can use to bypass China's strict mobile laws?
Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,
