This may seem unrelated at first, but see:
There are still people around who bought there BBs as productivitiy tools (like myself). They are willing to learn how to use the tool but they expect that it works. They are not willing to invest tons of time to become experts themselves - although they might, like me, a professor of informatics. If things don't work people like me just want advice. If they rather feel like being a target of education they make react irrationally - like the post that I'm responding to - or rationally - move on to a different vendor. To conclude: I would also be happy about a more appreciating style of those in the know. Thank you
Re: A Message for The Admin Here (EVERYONE SHOULD READ)
Advice is one thing; refusing to accept reality is another. I understand what you mean, but getting angry at BB users because of the way BB software works is illogical at best.

I fully agree. Just to clarify: I'm quoted as a new user which is syntactically correct: I set up a new ID I because lost my ID/PW of about four years ago when I used to be a somewhat regular visitor. After 10 years with palm I had migrated to BB and many things that used to be simple before now were complicated or just didn't work. From those days I know the feeling and it was back immediately after some browsing today: the feeling of asking a harmless question and then being taking into a lengthy exploration of all internal facets of my tool, with insider language being used and suggestions to clean it all .. You don't do that easily with 1600 addresses collected in 30 years and a calendar dating back to 1997 and into forward into 2015. I will post a simple question in a couple of minutes .. see what happens.
By the way: Jefferson's quote pretty much resembles a book title of the new German president Joachim Gauck. And I like it.

I think the other posting have said this but I thought I would jump into the train and ride for a while also. This forum is as stated on the internet and as such is subject to every weirdo in the world. As for the members who regularly post , I personally believe they are attempting to offer help and yes sometimes it seems a bit more complicated than it needs to be but keep in mind we do not know the level of your blackberry knowledge. Rim does not make it easy to get help from their site so here the various suggestions and posting are just that, offers on something we see or have used ourselves. Once in a while the frustration builds with an idiot who gets offended because their question was not immediately answered in the exact way they wanted to hear it or the solution is something they do not believe. If you dont like the forum then do us all a favor and leave.
Ok now I will use the copy write expression .......WOW
