I've got a bb 9700, current software version is 5.0.0.344. i'm looking at getting the bold 9900 but was wondering what version of desktop software do i download on to my pc or does it not make a difference?

2nd matter is, i have a lenovo netbook, 4gb ram, 64bit op system, 1.3ghz, windows 7,will the latest version of bb desktop software work on this or do i again need to download a specifc one?

oh one other thing, i have 'bb protect', so what sort of stuff will that transfer across to my 9900 if i installed that or will it not work because its specific to the 9700?
