Am I right in the assumption, that you cannot calculate a route from location A to location B ? You are only able to calculate a route from your current position to a destination.

You can, but it is not straightforward. When you select a favorite, select plan route, and then edit the start and end, and then select Go. The route will plot on the map, and you can select list if so desired.
