[blackberryuserabc]

There is a grey folder under "misc" in my file manager called "seach-timing.log". What is this? I am unable to delete it as it says it is in use.

the Blackberry has a few logs used for various things but that one is not listed in any document I can find so my guess is it's from an app you downloaded. The fact it seems to be locked tells me its required and you should just leave it alone.

Update: it's seems to be a browser log for search delays

Thank you. My daughter was playing with my phone and then something came up on the screen that looked like an odd website. Afterwards I noticed that and was afraid my phone was hacked. My husband has it on his blackberry too so he doesn't think it's anything to be concerned about. P.s- what is a browser log for search delays?

Some company's use logs to determine if they have a problem with their apps or the display of a web page. They can use the logs to make changes and update how they send info to cell phones.
I could not find any reference to it on the Blackberry support site but did find it referenced on the web for various uses.
