Default bbweather bbtoday errors

Please Login to Remove!

bbweather gives me the following error msg:

Error: No Weather Profiles specified I clicked all around and could not find where to setup a profile.

bbtoday gives me the following error msg:

could not open tunnel - failed ... I never get the "weather" forcast.

How do I fix?

BB Weather - go to options, add. Put in a zip for you Location ID. Assign a shortcut key. Save and hit the key. I think BB today has issues on the new OS right now.

I now get:

Error: could not open tunnel - failed

I read another thread that stated that I should have a checkmark in "Disable MDS Proxy:"

The above error is what I get when the check mark is there. When the check mark is removed, I get the following error:

Error: Could not find a service book entry for IPPP

I then checked my listing of Service Books. I have the following:

IPPP for BIBS [IPPP]

Should I have another Service Book entry?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

No you need to put in ur tcp info in the BB and it should be fine after that

Ok, I checked it out. APN - Access Point Node. My BB asks for username and pass. I don't have either unless T-mobile was supposed to give me this info. Should I call T-Mobile? I googled around and found:

For standard connections use internet2.voicestream.com

You can try these:

Summary of T-Mobile settings:

init string = +cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"
username = blank or 10 digit phone #
password = blank or password set up on T-Mobile site for phone #
flow control unchecked
modem compression unchecked
modem error control unchecked

See my tips doc on the 8700.

My apn, tcp and passwords are set up fine and I get the same IPPP error for BBWeather, do you have an 7100 by chance Halford?

Mine won't work either.

I even looked up the Location id from http://www.aspnetresources.com/tools/locid.aspx which is what the readme says...

I couldn't get my weather working for the longest time either... until I read this thread. Using my zip code, I set the location. and WOW!! I couldn't believe the graphics and color and weather that I had been missing out on. At that point I got anxious and turned on the stock plug-in. oddly enough, i received a tunnel failure error instead of my cool weather icons. I turned off the stock plug-in, weather back.

Now, since I like the weather more than stocks, there's my quick fix. Maybe give that a swirl?
