Question Purged Messages and Call Logs

Please Login to Remove!

About 2 weeks ago, I moved BES 4.1 to a different server, brought everything back up and at the time everything worked fine.

Now over the last couple of days or so, messages and call logs are being purged on some 7250's (not consistently across the organization).

Could there have been a memory setting adjustment made in BES during the reinstall? Or a "Keep Message" setting?

Thanks

How much free space in available on the handhelds experiencing the problem? What have you done to troubelshoot the issue?

11065080 Bytes is free on mine right now, and I have experienced this issues. From my understanding, the BB's with drop messages and call logs slowly as needed to free up memory, not in extremely large chunks (Example: One day I have 3 months worth of email on my BB, and the next I had 2 days). Are there settings on the BES side to determine how aggressive this is?

As for as troubleshooting, I have looked at the IT Policy in BES to see if there are memory setting, but I could not find any. I am fairly new to BES so it maybe something I am missing.

Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

I just ran into the same problem today. All the e-mails and text messages on my blackberry (8100) dated earlier than 2 days ago have been deleted. I'm running BES 4.1, does anyone have any idea why this happened, or how to restore those e-mails? My last backup is over a week old, so I can use it as a last resort, but I'll lose a week's worth of e-mail if I do that.
