Default Telenav Icon

Am I going crazy or did a Telenav icon just get pushed to my BB? Has anyone else noticed it? I click on it and it takes me to a website where I can download the software. I could swear it wasn't there yesterday. Hmmm...

Did you change your theme?? Maybe the icon has always been on the device, but you just picked a theme that has it more visible.

Nope, no theme change. Oh well. Maybe I hid it when I first got my 8800 and some kind of update made the icon un-hide.

Usually we see the icons appear when the device re-registers on the network (usually after your battery was dead for a while or your device was powered off overnight, etc.)

Cingular pushes telnav to the device. I am not sure what triggers the push. It might be a batch service book update.

I had the icon when I got my 8800 a few weeks ago. I signed up for TeleNav and therefore clicked on the icon and downloaded the software. I have since used TeleNav several times (even today at lunch) and love it. I also like the fact that you can manage your TeleNav account via the web as well.

I have to agree with dawgfan, I use telenav and it works pretty good. I have had to travel for business a couple of times and telenav was a huge help

Note the icon pushes only a link to DL the program, I kinda liked it when my BB got crashed by the colorpearl app and I needed to reload and didn't have the link handy.
