I noticed a post regarding Yahoo and Cingular now working together on OS 4.2 but I need more info.

I currently have my domains hosted by Yahoo and route it thru Gmail for instant e-mail. I still have the old BIS (V1.8) and use a custom setup developed to get instant e-mail - with this I have no reconcile features.

Has anyone been able to check if Yahoo e-mail addresses will provide reconciliation with the BB on Cingular BIS with this OS? Does it also provide instant e-mail?

I realize I would have to upgrade to BIS v2.0 but do not want to do that unless it provides these features.

The handheld OS won't affect these things. It's BIS that matters -- not your device OS.

Thanks, I was sure I read a post discussing that as a bonus to 4.2 and I can't find it now. My error-your answer makes sense.

I appreciate the info.

As a follow up question: I have been using my current setup for a long time and have not been following any threads regarding reconciliation between Cingular BIS and Yahoo- is it now available- has anything changed? When BIS 2.0 came out I was under the understanding that keeping my current Gmail workaround was the best bet but that was long ago.
