Question Pearl not loading

Please Login to Remove!

I just loaded PocketMac for BlackBerry (downloaded on May 5) and when I connect my Pearl via USB it is not recognized. I've tried conntecting the Pearl first then launching PocketMac. I've launched PocketMac then connect my Pear. Neither one works. I am connecting to the USB on the back of my iMac 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo. I have tried all four USB ports on the back.

I do not have a media card installed on the Blackberry. I'm not sure if I need that or not? I only want to synch Address Book and iCalendar.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you

No, PocketMac does not recognize the device at all. I get the following error message.

"No devices configured. Please check your settings and install with your user account."

understand that part, does your mac see that the bb is connected.

apple menu -> about this mac -> more options -> then look under the usb devices that are plugged in. if there's an entry that says blackberry 8100, then your mac see's the bb, but pocketmac doesnt - like mine.

Thanks. I checked and my Mac does recognize my blackberry. Under the USB Bus is says:

RIM Mass Storage Device:

Version: 1.06
Bus Power (mA): 500
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Research In Motion
Product ID: 0x0006
Serial Number: my serial number
Vendor ID: 0x0fca

So what do I do now?

Thanks!

that's where i'm stuck too :(

i've trashed and reinstalled pocketmac a couple of times and i get the same thing.

i've pretty much given up and started using the bluetooth connection between my bb and my macbook pro. the only downside - i can only transfer 1 file at a time and i can't import my ical appointments :(

Default same problem here

After a week or so of talking to RIM, we agreed to try out Missing Sync by Markspace. It works!!! Though two caveats: you can't load software onto the BB using MS and I still can't get my microSD card to mount. But something is better than nothing.

Default uninstalling PocketMac

How do I make sure to uninstall all the components of PocketMac? I've read on the forums that conflicts can arise between PocketMac and Missing Synch when one is not uninstalled properly.

Thanks in advance for your help!
