Default Syncronize with MS Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, just bought BB 8300 and trying to syncronize with my outlook. Currently I have store my emails in differents folders in outlook, can I see this folder in my BB when I syncronize the first time?

Secondly, is there is a way that you can turn off the receive of emails in the weekend but have the phone available for calls?

Thanks.

tico:

You won't see a specific folder when using Desktop Manager to sync with Outlook. A-Your mail and messages will not sync, only contacts, calendar, memos and tasks.

B-Anytime you like, you can go to Options > Mobile Network and at Data Services, you can select OFF. When you re-enable the data, any mail that has not been checked or deleted from your mail server will all coming flowing in.

Good luck, and welcome to the Forums.

The blackberry does not sync with Outlook inbox on BIS, if that's what you are talking about. You might look at setting up internet email on your various accounts, if that would be useful.

There is no way to turn off email pushed to your carrier email address. I guess you could effectively turn off internet email by deleting and then setting it up again when you want to turn it back on.

Forget what I wrote in answer to part b. I stand corrected.

aiharkness--in OS 4.2, iirc, you can select data off. I know I can on a 8100 and 8800, so I believe it is OS 4.2.

Of course, that also kills internet, data transfer, etc.
