Default Leaving Sprint To get 8300 Or Iphone(Better Service)

Please Login to Remove!

I just wanted to get so information from you guys that have either 8300 or have tried the Iphone. I really love the full keyboard. I have the 8703e and the bb browser is very limited. I really hate the scroll wheel on the side. The blackberry is a real stable device. I am also pissed about the poor service with sprint. I pay about 100.00 a month with a corp discount. I have 1000 anytime,m2m, nights at 8 and, unlimted text. I get tons of dropped calls everyday and the network is not getting better. Would AT&T be a good choice for me and what phone?

Guess it all depends on your service area but I can not remember having a dropped call with Cingula/AT&T in Jacksonville. No matter how far I get off the beaten path, I almost always have full bars!

I was on Nextel/Sprint and if you left the highway, zero!, you were out of service!

the service in your area is going to be the reason for the dropped calls.

here, AT&T is pretty good, and Verizon is about as good as a pair of cans tied with string. not sure about sprint. T-Mobile isn't bad here either.

you'll like the Curve. if you get the IPhone, you'll miss the BB and want to go back.

With the 8703e I really miss my camera. I used to own a treo 700wx. THose moments are nice to catch sometimes. Did they make any improvement to the blackberry broswer with the 8300? How is the OS compared to the 8703e?

Default Curve>iPhone

If you plan on using this phone for a corperate email account, the iphone won't work. I have the curve with my work email- outlook IMAP- setup. it works PERFECT! i pay about $100 a month with at&t. i have unlimited text, 400 anytime, free m2m, with the PDA plan (which includes unlimited data transfer, enterprise blackberry server -for outlook). I would highly recomend the curve with at&t.

just read the reveiws on cnet and see how bad the reveiws for the iphone have been in comparison to those from curve users.

iPhone user reveiws:
Apple iPhone (4GB) Ratings. Smart phones User Opinions.

Curve user reveiws:
RIM BlackBerry Curve (aka BlackBerry 8300) Ratings. Smart phones User Opinions.

i just threw my curve on ebay. My thoughts mirrored that of another user on here. I just found the iphone to better fit my needs withe a great screen and browser. Email is decent, as i do not need it for business. Plus it views th in html.

I am also posting from the iphone right now, on the full version of this site;)

As the location of ccablecompany is Russia per his/her info, why would any of the above choices work? First find the best service for your needs (data and voice) then you might find the device. Oh, and I am not surprised with the problems you are having with Sprint in Russia????

Absolutely positively 100% depends on your provider and where they have their towers in your city.

In my area:
T-Mobile - Great in the city and somewhat remote areas (what I have since I stay in the city 90% of the time, plus cheap)

AT&T aka Cing - Best GSM coverage, slightly farther out of the city, has more towers on rural highways and areas my t-mo loses reception

Verizon - No experience

Sprint/Nextel - Hands down best coverage. My dads business phone can go ANYWHERE even WAY out in the sticks, not sure if his industrial strength phone (seriously someone drove over one with a pickup truck and it still worked) just has great reception or sprint got there shit right in Washington. I think I've seen 1 time it lost signal which was MILES away from paved road in the foothills of a mountain range.

buy a curve over iphone. iphone does not compete with bb, in process of returning iphone. trust me! iphone will be awesome one day but give it 1-2 more years.
i have been with at&t, cingular, and now at&t again, no complaints about service. my friends with verizon never have the coverage i do. much is also phone dependent. nokia has the best reception (in my book)
