i have the 7280 and 7290 Blackberry phones. The 7280 supports a cingular browser and the 7290 uses mmode. The 7290 does not support http therefore i cannot directly setup POP. What is the future of the Blackberry browser? is it going to be integrated on all blackberries to avoid the confusion and complication of cingular/at&t browsers?

With Former AT&T and Cingular you have to request the HTML BlackBerry Browser before you can view http (HTML) websites on your device.

The browser labeled "BlackBerry Browser" is only for BES users and controlled by the BES.

how do you request for the HTML BLACKBERRY BROWSER? does this mean that the AT&T will still exist in future although there's a merger. I am a BES user as well.

The browser you want should be labelled Internet Browser.
Try Options->Host Routing Table->Click Track Wheel->Register Now.

If it doesn't show up, call Cingular.
